Facilities

Our facilities are designed to provide a low-stress environment for the horses, to allow them to relax and be horses.

Barn

Our barn is L-shaped, with high ceilings and no loft, for good airflow that helps prevent respiratory problems. It stays cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Stalls have windows and fans to let in light and move stagnant air. Galvanized stall fronts and feed doors, 2"x10" double-walled stall walls for sturdiness 4' fluorescent lights in stalls and 8' fluorescent lights in the aisles provide plenty of light in the barn to make it easier to work, and provide a bright atmosphere. 3/4" thick stall mats to prevent fatigue and provide cushion for joints, and prevent rubs when the horses lie down at night. Mats also keep the stalls much cleaner than dirt floors, and provide a level surface to stand on, which is easier on tendons and joints.

Arenas

100'x200' outdoor jumping arena with board fencing and all-weather footing that is dragged several times a week to provide a pleasant work surface. The arena is slightly sloped to allow for drainage and prevent standing water, and also to encourage the building of muscle groups in the hind end and back. We have all different types of jumps available, and barrels are also available for those who want to school barrel racing.

We also have a 20m x 40m grass dressage arena and a small schooling cross-country course under construction.

Future plans for an indoor are in progress.
